AJ Artemel


AJ Artemel is a New York–based writer on architecture, urbanism, and visual culture. Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, he earned a bachelor of science in architecture from the University of Virginia in 2011 and an M.Arch from Yale University in 2014. Previous research interests include the lineage leading from 1960s countercultural design to early ’90s digital utopianism, the effects of infrastructure on urban development, and the ways in which the built environment exerts political influence. AJ is a coeditor of an upcoming issue of Perspecta focused on issues of quotation, influence, and copyright in architecture.
