Join Rosa Sheng of Equity by Design (EQxD) for a presentation on equality and quality in architecture. The presentation will cover some of the key findings from the 2014 EQxD symposium, results of the Equity in Architecture Survey, and discussion about equity in the design community.

EQxD began as the Missing 32% Project, developed by an AIA San Francisco committee, fueled by the persistent and striking gender imbalance within architectural practice, where women represent only 12 to 18% of AIA members, licensed architects, and senior firm leadership. The project is a call to action for both women and men to help realize the goal of equitable practice to retain talent, advance the profession, and communicate the value of design to society.

The Missing 32% Project, a 2014 survey and research study, garnered nearly 2,300 respondents and sparked a much-needed dialogue, resulting in a sold-out 250-person symposium, widespread media coverage, and requests for EQxD presentations nationally and beyond. Since the group launched its key findings, Rosa has been presenting them in Boston, New York, Lisbon, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Seattle, and San Francisco.

Event begins at 4pm. RSVP at the link below.
